In 1986, long before he started designing underwear for men, Dirk Bikkembergs took the fashion scene by storm with his first collection of military-style shoes for men. Bikkembergs then turned his attentions to menswear, women’s wear and underwear. In 2000, Bikkembergs created his sporty design collection, “Bikkembergs Sport”, and became the first fashion designer to hold a fashion show in the infamous Camp Nou stadium. In 2004, Bikkembergs was awarded the Italian Oscar della Moda for best international fashion designer.
